Description
Ferrosilicon is made by melting coke, steel scrap and silica in an electric furnace. Ferrosilicon is also one of the main deoxidizers and alloying agents for steelmaking. Ferrosilicon is mainly used in iron and steel smelting and metal magnesium smelting.The color of ferrosilicon is silver gray, we can produce ferrosilicon in various sizes, such as regular size and special size, also can be customized as powder, granule and block. In the steelmaking industry, about 3-5 kg of 75% ferrosilicon is consumed to produce one ton of steel. It can be used as a deoxidizer in steelmaking, a reducing agent in alloy production, and an inoculant in casting. It is also widely used in the mining industry.
